Q: Do I have to be home during onsite organizing services?
This is up to the homeowner, and based on how involved you want to be. Some clients prefer to take part in the whole process, while others prefer just checking in a few times during the project.
Q: What do I have to do to prepare for onsite organizing services?
Reflect and give thought to your objectives with the space(s) we are undertaking. What is the space currently used for? What will it be used for? Who will use the space? How often? What look and feel do you gravitate toward? Warm and cozy? Clean and Minimal? Do you prefer bright colours? Soft colours? What’s working? What’s not working? We will discuss these questions, and your answers and visions before we get started. Other than that, not much preparing required. You will have homework and maintenance responsibilities though. We discuss these upon project completion.
Q: Will I have to get rid of things I love?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. Organizing is NOT about getting rid of everything you own. There is no one-size-fits-all-approach when it comes to addressing clutter. Our focus lies on values-based organizing. We help you identify what you truly value, and then create systems for those values in ways that will work for you.
Q: On average, how long does it take to complete onsite organizing?
Again, this depends on specific circumstances. If you are a generally organized person, and are seeking a bit of refresh, it may not take much time at all. However, if you are about to move or downsize from a home you’ve been living in and collecting in for 20 years, it may take a lot more time. This is a perfect question for further discussion during a personal consultation session.
Q: Do you work with commercial clients as well?
Of course! It’s just as important to have clutter-free organized work spaces, as it is to have clutter-free organized homes. Would be happy to chat with you!
Q: Do you provide cleaning services?
While we do provide general and basic cleaning efforts during all of our onsite organizing projects, unfortunately we do not have the capacity to provide deep cleaning services at this time.
Q: Do I need to purchase additional resources and organizing products?
While organizing resources and products can definitely enhance functionality for some, it is definitely NOT a requirement – especially if you’re just getting started. The emphasis and focus should be on learning the basics, importance and strategy before you begin to reach for baskets, bins, labels, and colour-coded anything.
