… My favourite days, are days without plans.
… Family is most important to me.
… I am a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ Community, happily married to my incredible wife Jody, and will continue to advocate for acceptance and equality for all people. Cliché or not, love is love. Gender irrelevant. Also, Jody and I don’t have children yet, but it is definitely something that we are working towards, and high on our vision board.
… I work for the Mi’kmaq First Nations of Epekwitk (PEI], in my role as EA and Office Manager with L’nuey – a Mi’kmaq Rights Initiative. I recognize that white privilege does apply to me. And that education and subsequent change and action is my/our individual responsibility in the journey forward towards true reconciliation. I commit to being an ongoing ally to the indigenous communities. And to the leaders that I serve.
… I graduated from UPEI in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree [with Honors], and have since been fortunate to work for senior executives and upper management, including: credible financial advisors, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, lawyers, and most recent, Mi’kmaq leadership. I am fortunate for the experience, skills and networks that I have obtained throughout these opportunities.
… I can’t sleep in. Even when I want to. I have always been a morning person. And always will be.
… In my spare time, I love to write and to take photos. I get lost in those activities. They recharge me.
… Nature is my favourite place to be. Also genuinely recharges me. Nothing beats fresh air.
… I have a weakness for shoes and chocolate. And for changing up my home. I’m always thinking ahead of our next DIY home project.
… I believe that kindness is transformative. Listening is always more important than talking. And that we can never have enough laughter in our lives.
